These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you use the Novity Health website at www.novity.health and any related services. By using the website or registering your interest, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Novity Health

Novity Health provides doctor-led care for weight management, type-2 diabetes and PCOS. This includes teleconsultations with registered medical practitioners, coordination of blood tests, nutrition guidance and coaching. Teleconsultations follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 issued under the National Medical Commission framework.

2. Not for emergencies

Novity Health does not provide emergency care. If you have a medical emergency, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, or very high or low blood sugar, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in India to use our services. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and your own.

4. Medical services

• Information on this website is general and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor who has assessed you.
• Registering your interest does not create a doctor–patient relationship. That begins only after your first consultation.
• Your doctor decides what treatment, if any, is clinically appropriate. We cannot guarantee any specific outcome, and results vary from person to person.
• Your doctor may decide that teleconsultation is not suitable for you and recommend an in-person visit.

5. Prescription medication & side effects

GLP-1 and other medications are prescription-only. They are prescribed only if your doctor decides it is safe and appropriate after assessment and blood tests. You agree to follow your doctor’s instructions, attend follow-up tests, and report any side effects promptly. Never share prescribed medication with anyone else.

Third-party manufacturers

Novity Health is a care and service provider. We do not manufacture any medicines. All medications prescribed as part of your plan are made by independent pharmaceutical companies and supplied through licensed pharmacies. The manufacturer is responsible for the quality, safety, composition and labelling of its product.

Side effects

Every medication can cause side effects, which may vary from person to person. Your doctor will explain the known risks before prescribing, and you agree to read the manufacturer’s product information supplied with your medicine. By choosing to take a prescribed medicine, you accept these known risks.

To the extent permitted by law, Novity Health is not responsible for any loss, harm or side effect caused by the medicine itself, including manufacturing defects, product quality issues or reactions inherent to the drug. Claims relating to the product should be made against its manufacturer or supplier. If you experience any side effect, stop and contact your Novity doctor immediately, or call 112 in an emergency.

6. Your responsibilities

• Give complete and truthful information about your health, history and medications.
• Do not misuse the website, attempt to access it without authorisation, or interfere with its operation.
• Treat our doctors, coaches and staff with respect.

7. Fees

Registering your interest and the first assessment call are free. Any fees for consultations, tests or programs will be shared with you clearly before you are charged. Refund and cancellation terms will be provided with your program plan.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, the Novity name and logo, is owned by Novity Health or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Novity Health is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. This includes any loss or side effect arising from medicines made by third-party manufacturers, as described in Section 5. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for negligence in providing medical care.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
