TDEE calculator: the calories you burn each day
Total daily energy expenditure is your BMR plus the energy you use moving, working and exercising. It is the number to start from when you plan to lose, keep or gain weight: eat less than it and you lose weight, eat more and you gain. Seeing how it changes with activity also shows how much movement adds.
Your results
Enter your details and activity level to see how many calories you burn in a day.
BMR from the Mifflin–St Jeor equation (1990), multiplied by a standard activity factor (1.2 to 1.9). Real energy use varies, so treat this as a starting point and adjust it by how your weight changes over a few weeks. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for under-18s, or if you have kidney disease or take diabetes medicines without advice from your doctor. This is not medical advice.
Numbers are a start. A doctor turns them into a plan.
A Novity doctor looks at these numbers alongside your blood tests and health history, then builds a plan with nutrition, strength and coaching, and medicine only if it is right for you.
